I am an elementary media coordinator/ teacher librarian with a passion for equipping students to read, connect, create and share. As a media specialist, former reading specialist and former classroom teacher, I have taught students from preschool through high school. More importantly, they have taught me how to playfully and meaningfully engage in the curriculum. I am currently a media coordinator for Surry County Schools in the beautiful foothills of NC.
About this Blog
I am constantly seeking new ways to help my students connect as global citizens through the use of innovative technology in the classroom, but sometimes nothing can replace a good book. Balance is a good thing! So is free... as in "library."
This blog was originally created for myself as a reminder of the children's books I've read and how I've used them in the classroom. It has evolved more into a form of professional development for me as I find it to be a helpful reflective tool.
